When I googled "what is meditation?" I got this response ... "Meditation is a practice that involves training the mind to focus and achieve a state of mental clarity and calmness. It encompasses various techniques and traditions, aiming to cultivate inner peace and well-being."
In theory if practicing meditation really did allow everyone to train their mind to focus and achieve a state of mental clarity and calmness, everyone would be doing it and we'd be living in a world of blissed out people! Right?
I've been certified in 3 different styles of meditation because I love meditating so much! But even when/if I achieved the state of mental clarity and calmness during meditation, it quickly dissipated once I sprang off of my meditation chair and immersed myself into my daily routines!
However, that dissipation happens less and less often now!

Whether we'd like to admit it or not, the noise of doubt, fear, and old stories is like an old time scratchy LP (12 or 10-inch {30 or 25-cm} diameter vinyl record) playing constantly in the background. This constant noise is like a fog around your head that clouds your vision and interferes with your clear thinking.
The next time you feel doubt, fear or are repeating old stories to yourself, try this ...
Practice ...
* Pull out a pen and a journal.
* Sit quietly.
* Ask yourself "What exactly is this doubt/fear/story about?" --or-- "Were did this come from?"
* And let your thoughts flow onto your paper.
* Write whatever comes to mind, whether one word or 1000 words!
* Don't filter your thoughts, just put your pen to paper!
You may be very surprised what comes up!
The clarity you'll recieve will be a gift to yourself!
Experiment with this ...
You will be surprised with the results!
